The Best Vegan Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour(I used gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick(1/2 cup) vegan buttery spread(such as Earth Balance)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3oz semi-sweet chocolate OR 6 tablespoons chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and buttery spread. Add in the oil, water, and vanilla extract and mix. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder and mix once more. Lastly, add in the chocolate and gently stir. Pour the mix into a 9×9 pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until the center is just cooked through. Remove and let cool completely before serving.
