Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds diced apple
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour(or oat flour)
  • 1/2 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/2 cup turbinado sugar

Recipe: Vegan Apple Crisp

Preheat the oven to 375. In a bowl, toss the diced apple, cinnamon, and salt. Pack the apples into an 8×8 pan and pour the water along the side(This’ll just ensure nothing burns during the cooking period). In a bowl, melt the butter. Combine the oats, flour, and sugar with the vegan butter and mix until coarse and crumbly. Evenly distribute over the apples. Bake for 20 minutes, and let harden for 5 before serving.
