- 1 stick(1/2 cup) butter
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons milk
Leave the butter out to come to room temperature for an hour or so. Combine that, the vanilla extract, and 2 cups powdered sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer. Keep working it until it becomes smooth. Once that’s achieved, add in the rest of the powdered sugar and the milk and beat again until smooth.
