Sweet Chili Lime Tofu
- 1/2 block firm tofu, pressed
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 Tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 Tablespoon cornstarch + 2 teaspoons water
Cut the tofu into bite sized squares. Mix the next 6 ingredients together in a cup. Meanwhile, heat up tofu to get it warm. Once it’s reached the right temperature, combine over heat the tofu and the sauce. Combine the cornstarch with some cold water to make a slurry mixture, and add it to the sauce over heat. As it starts to thicken, keep moving around the tofu to make sure the glaze covers, but take care not to burn. Once it’s thickened enough, remove from the heat and serve.
